A few years ago I was wandering through Michael’s Crafts, one of my favorite past times. When I go I wander every aisle. I look at everything. On this particular trip I found a instruction sheet for making a giant cable knit throw similar to this one (except the the one on my sheet is the yummiest kelly green). I grabbed the sheet, folded it up, put it in my pocket.
The only problem is I don’t know how to knit. Small setback.
I run into that instruction sheet every now and then. Look at it, fawn over the color, dream about making one, fold it up and put it away again thinking “one day I will learn how to knit and then make this”.
So, last year I decided I needed to add “learning to knit” to my Life List. It is #4. Today I did it, with the help of youtube I taught myself the basic knit stitch. And made either a very small blanket or a very tight scarf.
I’m far from making the throw, but I have a good start on Christmas presents. Just let me know what color you want your scarf, heehee.
I crossed number 4 off my list, also crossing something off my life list was one of my New Years goals, done and done. Woo Hoo!
